What Willy Link doesn't like about Kamasutra:
Wir waren 10 Mann und richtig hungerig. Laut Speisekarte kostete jedes Hauptgericht nach 19 Uhr 10€. Das war bloß ungefähr die Hälfte der normalen Protion. Das Personal hat uns darüber nicht informiert. Das Essen schmeck billig. Nicht mehr hin und ich rate euch auch ab View all feedback.
Indeed a nice place for Lunch and dinner specially for Indian food lovers and for those who are vegetarian.! Very nice homely and warm service with a great taste of Indian food. One must try when in Dresden.
We found this place by coincidence, saw their dinner special EUR for every entree) and gave them a try. The decoration of this place is something to be seen... definitely worth a visit. The service was nice and friendly and the food came quickly...and as ordered. I really wanted to like the food, and it was alright, but I have to admit that I found it a little bland. I overheard the waiter tell some other table that you can ask for spiciness. Maybe the decided to tone down the spices to make it more palatable to the average guest. As someone who loves spicy food, I was a little disappointed in that regard. So I guess if we find ourselves in the area again we will give the Kamasutra another shot, but next time we will definitely ask for extra spiciness.
Visited this restaurant only once during the business trip. Tried vegetarian dishes and they were quite okay. Worth visiting again.
This review is from my memory of Kamasutra from My wife still loves the food of this restaurant, even quipping that she would travel all the way to Dresden to visit Kamasutra again! While we may not do such a gastric adventure, I have...to vouch that they do serve some excellent Punjabi fare. But, the most endearing memory of this place is the customized service they provided. We had a large team of consultants stationed in Dresden at one point and the guys at Kamasutra specially prepared items outside the menu for us on request. Excellent stuff and vielen dank Kamasutra!!
I was given a tip to go there for Indian food. Whenever, we are in a new place, we make it a point to find out where we could have at least Indian meal, be it Lunch or dinner. This place opens only pm. As it was recommended, reached at about pm for an early dinner. Was pleasantly surprised to meet the Indian owner, who belonged to Balachaur, Ropar, Punjab, India, which was about KM away from our native place. He suggested that we need not even look at the menu, but order whatever we wanted to eat. So, on his recommendation ordered a chicken and a paneer (cottage cheese) dish. The chicken dish, was unfortunately, a bit on the harder side. Appears to have been prepared from a refrigerated source. The paneer dish was however quite tasty. Found it to be popular with the locals as found at least to other couples who came in later as we were leaving. The ambiance was surprisingly good with authentic Rajasthan decor, all brought from India. However, the toilets, situated in the basement, was a bit of a daunting exercise, as it appeared to have been a dungeon at some point in time. Was told later that it was a years old building. The location was good, right on the main road, very near the tram stop. If in Dresden, you could perhaps try it out, though we did discover another excellent Indian restaurant elsewhere for our meal the next day.
