Tasty vegetarian food and a couple of non-vegetarian dishes. Some dishes are quite innovative (they have a little book for sale which contains some recipes). Disher are not cheap, but the food is worth the price, beer and wine is reasonable priced. You can ask for tap water which one typically cannot do in a restaurant in Germany (they charge 20 cents for the glass). Nice casual dining indoors and outdoors. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Restaurant brennNessel:
Little service minded people. No English menu, neither did they speek English. They did not serve the right drink and were not really friendly. Additionally we were not allowed to pay by card while other tables could. The only good thing was the food. View all feedback.
We were fortunate with the weather and sat in the little courtyard. The food was quite unusual - mostly vegetarian - and, as the name of the place tells you, there are many dishes using nettles. I ordered one with nettles, though I must admit I was unable to pick them out. The mushrooms, zucchini, peppers, cheese, etc., were quite prominent and the dish was very enjoyable. My friend had a curry dish with coconut milk, which I had a taste and liked. The service was fine and it's relatively easy to get to, away from the hustle and bustle of tourists. I would definitely return and recommend it highly.

A cosy and atmospheric restaurant. Very good fresh food which takes a little longer to come than usual because of this. Lentil curry was excellent as was the Farmers breakfast for my meat eating hubby! Vegan daughter has a tofu salad...
I came here for dinner last night and it is such a cosy little restaurant with a charming courtyard out the back. I had a salad and it was so fresh and hearty, followed by a delicious dessert which I didn't need but I couldn't help myself. The service was excellent and very friendly too. Can't recommend this place highly enough!
From a selfish standpoint I am glad that this wonderful little restaurant is not in the heart of Dresden's tourist scene, as it would be nigh impossible to get a table. It is still exceedingly popular with locals and those studying and working at the nearby music school.A cozy ambiance, hospitable service, good drink and excellent, wholesome, healthy food is what this establishment has to offer.I chose the curry dish, which was excellent, packed with vegetables, coconut and mild curry spices. There are many very good dishes on menu, and if you want to get away from the traditional German dishes, this restaurant would be a fist class choice.
