I just returned from a trip to Maine where I was celebrating my birthday and wanted to try a new place. When I arrived at Frobie's Cafe, no one greeted me, and... read more I just returned from a trip to Maine where I was celebrating my birthday and wanted to try a new place. When I arrived at Frobie's Cafe, no one greeted me, and I was left standing in silence. I eventually had to ask if I could place an order. One staff member informed another, and then I was finally acknowledged. I inquired about vegan options, and she simply pointed me to the menu. Shortly after, a man walked in and was immediately greeted, which left me feeling neglected. I decided to leave as I believe that hospitality is essential in any dining experience. I’m not sure why the service was lacking, but I have my suspicions.

However, my last two experiences ordering frappes... read more I've enjoyed smoothies and breakfast sandwiches from Frobie's Cafe before, and they've always been delicious. However, my last two experiences ordering frappes ahead of time were disappointing. Both times, I was told to expect a 15-minute wait, but in reality, the wait was much longer. The first time, after waiting about 20 minutes, I arrived to pay only to be told my frappe couldn't be found. I agreed to wait again, understanding mistakes happen. The next day, I called ahead once more, paid upon arrival, and waited. After 30 minutes, while everyone who ordered after me had received their drinks, no one called my name. When I finally asked, the cashier retrieved my watered-down frappe from the fridge without any apology, just a blank look. I wish they were better organized and more efficient in their service.

It took quite a while, then a young girl chec... read more I ordered two bagels to go, not cooked or toasted. However, the guy brought them out cooked, so he took them back. It took quite a while, then a young girl checked again and confirmed they were still cooked. She went back to get uncooked bagels and basically threw them at me without apologizing or saying have a nice day. All the young staff seemed too busy on their phones to provide any real customer service. This was my first time here, and it will definitely be my last!

With only a 20-minute lunch break, I had to leave still hungry. I didn't expect much, but they still let me down big time.
