Description

Docs restaurant in Downpatrick has received mixed reviews. Some customers have complained about overcooked food, high prices, and incorrect orders. However, others have praised the restaurant's focus on fish and chips, fresh fish, and gluten-free options. Despite some negative feedback, loyal customers appreciate Docs for its quality and taste, even after moving to different countries. As prices increase, customers expect better quality to match. The restaurant's reputation has been affected by complaints of greasy battered fish, frozen baps, and rubbery chips. Though some reviewers vow to never return, others remain loyal to the establishment.

Unable to get an order correct. Food is thrown together and of poor quality. The container for the curry had spilled over everything else as it wasn’t closed correctly. Chips tasted stale and not cooked properly, and the fish is rotten. Chicken is rubbery, and you only get a few pieces. Overpriced for what it is. They need to pay attention to what they’re doing instead of messing about, maybe they’d get orders right then. No onions, then they had tons of onions. Charged 50p for a bit of cheese we didn’t even ask for!! Baps were stale and the burgers were tasteless. Absolutely disgusting. Manager couldn’t have cared less when we rang him.

We where overcharged for our meals Which i had to raise after working it out by comparing prices on the board. Got home to find that the order was wrong. And what was named as a chicken burger was more like 2 large chicken goujons. That was on both burgers. The baps where still frozen. 1 burger was dressed incorrectly. The chips where hard and undercooked with minimal curry or pepper sauce on either. I understand owners comment on another review stating wholesale prices have increased. 50 pence for a sprinkle of cheese seems excessive to say the least. If you are charging high end prices we need to recieve a high end product. Unfortunately you've lost a family of 5 customers that used the service on a regular basis. Food is now over priced and sub standard. Tonight is just the last straw im afraid.

Fish was ok chips were basically raw. I ordered a meat pastor burger and was given a homemade pastie burger which was raw on the inside and burnt on the outside. Was sadly disappointed.
