About 5 members of staff on who were lovely talkative attentive and quick. Good menu great service food was out of this world really delicious bill was reasonable. Clean plates all went back. Delighted too see the place picking up again. Thank you

We had to ord... read more Very poor experience on Saturday! A large group of my family went for a meal in the Villager to remember my granny who has been deceased one year. We had to order the food earlier in the week to make sure that the chef knew what was all needed. The starters all came out fine and they were quite nice, then when the main meals came out there were a few problems. Firstly the pepper sauce for the steaks was burnt and tasted awful, the burgers were very dry and had nothing on them and what topped it off was i had ordered a roast dinner which never came! I don't know how a food order can be placed on a Wednesday and they can still get it wrong. Very disappointed and feel that the owner has let us down big time! Definitely wont be back! Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone after our experience.

I ordered the cod, while my parents enjoyed steaks, and my son had a homemade burger from the kids' menu. Everything was wonderful! For dessert, we indulged in profiteroles, which were absolutely amazing! I can't wait for my next visit!
