I had lunch here during the week and found it to be very quiet. The menu was interesting with a good selection of specials. I opted for the £22 special for 2 courses, which I found to be good value compared to other meals I've had. The fish dish was excellent. The service was polite and attentive. However, I thought the wine list was average and uninspired, similar to other restaurants. It seemed like little thought was put into the quality of the cooking. Overall, I thought it was good value for money but would have enjoyed the experience more if the restaurant had been busier.
Excellent menu, really friendly service, good value for this quality of food, good flavours, spicing and presentation.
Crabs claws to start and smoked haddock with poached egg as a main. All cooked and presented to perfection. My wife had celeriac, beetroot risotto with goats cheese. She said the same. 10 at our table. All delighted with the food and service.

Visited with family . The chicken was lovely with a delicious side . Limited vegetarian options . One of the party was dairy free and the owner very helpful giving details of available options and anything they could do which wasn’t actually on the menu....
