**Discovering Olive Bizarre: A Mixed Experience**
Olive Bizarre presents a quaint culinary journey with its eclectic atmosphere and diverse menu. Patrons have praised its comfortable seating, friendly staff, and delightful offerings—especially gluten-free treats like muffins and flapjacks. While many enjoyed the robust and creative dishes, reports of inconsistency in food quality emerged, from lukewarm tea to poorly executed desserts. Service has been noted as attentive, with some experiencing a lack of focus during busy periods. Ultimately, Olive Bizarre serves up both charm and disappointment, making it a worthwhile visit for those seeking a unique dining experience, albeit with a few caveats.

This waterfront restaurant is a charming spot for a quick lunch. I enjoyed the delicious chicken pie and regret not having the opportunity to sample the wide variety of cakes they offer.
I had a sandwich. It was lovely. I would highly reccomend it to anyone in the area
The staff was extremely helpful, the sea views were beautiful, and the amazing menu made it the ideal spot for lunch.
Sensational Americano with an even more sensational croque Monsieur. A slice of Jaffa cake that must have come from heaven. Adorable, artistic, off beat and utterly wonderful. Our servers were world travelers. We discussed Turkey, Thailand and a wandering gentleman discussed New Zealand. Highly highly recommended. Shut up and go here. HERE I say!!! HERE!!
I never knew about this restaurant/coffee shop. What a great find. So much variety of food and a friendly atmosphere. Comfortable seats and a busy place. The staff are very friendly and the food is really healthy. I have been back since. They serve so many options. Easy to park close too.

I absolutely love this place! The dining experience is delightful, and they offer a wonderful selection of gluten-free dishes that are delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful as well. Don't forget to check out the restroom – it's worth it!
This charming coffee shop offers delicious food and coffee. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive to children. It's definitely a must-visit whenever we're in Newcastle!
I visited the olive bizarre on Sunday for the second time. the staff was very friendly and attentive. we had to sit outside when we had our dog with us and a waitress brought him out of fresh water. we ordered sandwiches and tee that were delicious. the caffe itself is very quirky and cute. I loved everything about this hidden gem in newcastle.
A cute and boutiquey cafe with amazingly delicious food!!!! Vegan Mexican wrap was unbelievable!!!! Nothing like tea in a good old fashion pot and hand knitted cosy!!! 5 stars!!
Lovely food, great service and loved my big pot of tea. Took my friend and accommodated his diet. Brilliant. Will be back

The coffee shop is beautiful with a great menu that includes gluten-free options. The staff is lovely and the atmosphere is very relaxed. We enjoyed a delicious blueberry and lemon muffin and a gluten-free flapjack, along with plenty of tea served in our own individual teapots. The teapots even had their own little tea cozy, which was a cute touch. Highly recommend!
I come to this restaurant every day when I'm home, without fail! I usually get takeout because I'm on the go, but I also love dining in when I have the chance. I adore the food, especially the fishcakes, soups, and quiches. They are all really delicious. The staff is also very friendly.
Went along for lunch with high expectations and came away delighted. Food was amazing, menu was very expansive and the staff were extremely professional and organised. Cannot highly recommend this hidden gem enough.
Had brunch here yesterday and it is was absolutely gorgeous. Eggs benedict with croissant and smoked salmon. Very friendly staff. Got to sit outside which was great as a beautiful view across the sea and harbour.
Olive Bizarre is located near the pier, making it a perfect spot for a coffee and delicious homemade food after a walk. The staff are friendly and welcoming. During our weekend trip to Newcastle in January, we were recommended this little gem and were not disappointed. Despite the busyness, we had to sit outside but were provided with hot water bottles to keep us warm, a nice touch. This is definitely a place worth visiting if you're in the area.
