Was Robert Popa Emil at East Essence a mag?
Food excellent, service 1st class. Restaurant been revamped which is very nice but the only thing missing was just a bit of soft background music which would have filled the empty atmosphere. Many thanks, beautiful meal. View all feedback.

After reading reviews looking at menu, was really looking forward to visiting this restaurant .. I 'm struggling to say anything positive. The service was slow and a couldn 't be bothered attitude was evident. The waitresses spent more time talking with a pal who was dining rather than work. No complimentary prawn crackers served. Absolutely fantastic restaurant, food was lovely and the service was freindly and quick, 1st rate.
Great takeaway food. Edit: We've been using East Essence for about 2 years and been very impressed by their food and quality. However recently they've stopped taking card payments. I only use card and haven't used cash in about 5 years. I really don't understand why they'd remove a modern and convenient payment method and force me to go a mile away to get old-fashioned cash. There are other Chinese restaurants nearby who take cards, so I guess I'll be using these from now on.
4 of us came here and sat in. The food was great. I would go back. We got a main each with some sides. The staff are nice
Very good next time it will be a sit-in
This Chinese takeout place is one of the best I have ever tried.
