Food is so tasty, just basi... read more The smell of food lured me in from the street.. this cafe opened in the 1930’s and had kept its charm. Staff were lovely on arrival. Food is so tasty, just basic but done well. We came back two days in a row. Coffee is done right and the milkshakes are old style nostalgia!!! Doggy friendly cafe. Will be back, thank you!!

Cheesy chips with a sprinkle of cheese and I really mean a sprinkle, chips were not good, the scampi I think was Young's frozen that you would get in the supermarket,wooden cutlery and the cup of tea has to be the worst cup of tea ever experienced,a distinct hint of bleach absolutely awful. Highlight of the banquet was the bread n butter. Definitely could not recommend and will definitely avoid next time in Newcastle.
