To start off I got the calamari which was definitely frozen wasn't bad. Then I ordered the turkey dinner which was really good I did like it. The server slash bartender was excellent. Food there is okay prime rib not my favorite I've had much better go there once in a great while not my favorite place. We go to a lot of different restaurants. Strafford Farms would be last on the choice list. View all feedback.
What ModernWanderers doesn't like about The Loft At Strafford Farms:
There didn’t appear to be much in the way of food options within walking distance from our hotel, so a couple of friends and I came here. The menu was extensive, but it took a little while for us to be served. Staff were nice enough, if not overly keen nor enthusiastic, and I don’t recall them smiling once. Our food was finally served — the veggie stir-fry looked and smelt good (but my friend said it was more like so... View all feedback.
Fantastic dining spot! Their new whiskey burger is delicious and definitely worth trying.
There didn’t seem to be many dining options within walking distance of our hotel, so a few friends and I decided to try this place. The menu offered a wide variety of choices, but it took quite a while for us to be served. The staff were polite, but they didn’t seem very enthusiastic or engaged, and I don’t think I saw a single smile during our visit. When our food finally arrived, the veggie stir-fry looked and smelled appealing, but my friend described it more like a soup and only managed to eat half of it. The other order, a fish sandwich, came with bread even though my friend had specifically requested it without. The worst part, though, was how incredibly sticky the floor was underneath our table — my shoes were stuck for days afterward. It was kind of gross.
The atmosphere was friendly and cheerful, and I enjoyed watching the All-Star Game while I was there. The restaurant also offers ample wheelchair accessibility.
New to the area so we actually thought that we were at the Stratford Family Farm restaurant. We ended up at the Back 40 Grille. The clam and scallop plates were mediocre and overpriced; $34.00 for each. The seafood chowder was milky with very little flavor to the chowder broth. We won’t be back.
Food is very good here. I ordered a sausage pizza for the first time. Pizza was full of sausage. Heather my waitress was quick, polite and funny. Chicken Fingers is a must to order. Homemade ice cream is very good. The dining room is updated in relaxing colors and red booths. Dianne and Toni are great for breakfast and lunch. All three are awesome and make sure to ask for them. Very clean and relaxing. Kim and Peter the owners are very friendly. Never had any problems.Ashley the manager helps out everyone and stop by every table. There is a function room that seats up to 40 people. A bar called the Loft upstairs. The Back 40 out back services home made ice cream and food. Great stop if you heading north to the mountains or south to Portsmouth.
