Subway
Description
Metro offers a tantalizing selection of subs, sandwiches, and wraps, appealing to health-conscious diners seeking quality ingredients. However, customer service experiences vary significantly. Instances of unprofessional behavior, such as staff failing to change gloves between orders and displaying impatience with customers, have marred visits for many. While the food—like the ham, egg, and cheese on flatbread—receives praise for its flavor and quality, the service leaves something to be desired. Despite the inconsistencies in service, Metro's culinary offerings keep patrons hopeful for an improved experience on future visits.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The customer service was poor, and the food was even worse. I ordered a steak and cheese salad, but the steak had a really off smell. The staff was rude and didn't seem to care at all. Their attitude was unacceptable, and I won't be returning. I ended up throwing my meal away.
During my visit to the Subway at Dover Air Force Base at 6:45 PM on May 6, I could sense a tense atmosphere and an unfriendly attitude while I was ordering. When I paid, the employee simply dropped my change into my hand. As a retired veteran who served in the military, I believe that more respect should be shown to our soldiers and veterans. Because of this experience, I will not be returning to this location again.
Overall, my experience was negatively affected by a long wait and a staff member who was inconsiderate while training a new employee. This woman showed a lack of patience towards both the trainee and the customers. After mishandling an order, she unfairly blamed the customer instead of owning up to her mistake. Additionally, she ignored the proper line management, which led to confusion for both the trainee and other staff members. Ultimately, she left in a huff and didn’t return during my visit. Such behavior was unprofessional and discourteous. On a positive note, the sandwich I ordered was quite tasty. I had the ham, egg, and cheese on toasted flatbread, topped with veggies, provolone, and a chipotle-style sauce, all for $3.99 for a 6-inch sandwich. While I can't recommend the restaurant for its service, the food is definitely worth trying.
As soon as my husband and I went to place our order, the woman who served us was quite rude. She had sauce all over her gloves from the previous customer and started handling my bread without changing them, which she should have done. I had to ask her to change her gloves because of the mess, but unfortunately, some of the sauce had already gotten on my sub by then. The service has been consistently terrible every time I return, and I’m not sure why I keep coming back. I really hope you can find better employees who actually care about serving their customers.
