Pizzadili - Dover
Pizzadili
Description
Pizzadili is a long-standing Dover deli and Italian spot praised for authentic subs, fresh bread, daily homemade soups, salads and standout desserts like rice pudding. A cozy, family-oriented atmosphere and friendly staff make it a local favorite. The extensive menu covers sandwiches, seafood, grilled dishes and pizza, though quality can be uneven: subs and deli classics shine, while pizza has drawn criticism and there have been occasional long waits, order cancellations and a reported seafood safety concern. Overall, a dependable deli with a few inconsistent offerings.

Please, do yourself a favor, do not get pizza from here. I don 't know about anything else on the menu, but the pizza that these guys are putting out is a 0.3 on the scale. It 's like they took a lunchables pizza and ruined it by putting it in a microwave for a minute.
I've always loved Pizzadili as the quality of their food has been second to none. However, last night we ordered a pizza for the first time. It was pretty bad. I'm certain it is prepackaged with a biscuit-like crust and mediocre sauce. It was so bad that I think they should take pizza off their menu. Now their subs and sandwiches have always been really delicious. But maybe last night was truly an off night. I ordered a cheeseburger sub. It was all roll and very little meat and no cheese!! Add-ons were meager: a little bit of lettuce, a few thin slices of tomato, hardly any onion and a light spread of mayo on the roll. It was the driest, dullest sub I've ever had. I had to doctor the second half of it. So disappointing.
DO NOT BUY THE ROCK FISH!!!! We decided on a quick place to eat and chose this restaurant. We got cheeseburger subs, and the rockfish meal. They told us a 15 min wait and it was a 45 min wait. A few minutes after we left they called us saying they forgot the rockfish, so we went back and picked that up. We ate, and it tasted OK. A few hours later my brother started to feel a sickness coming along, ended up with possible food poisoning. I am NOT sure if it was this restaurant specifically, or if it was the DANGEROUS LEVELS OF A CHEMICAL FOUND IN MOST ROCKFISH around the Delaware/New Jersey area. I would AVOID ANY SORT OF ROCKFISH, NO MATTER THE RESTAURANT. I hope this helps you...
