I had the lasagne and a bottle of water, waiter was polite at the beginning and attentive however strangely found him stood staring from the bar at me which made me very uncomfortable and didn’t want to eat my food. If busy I can assume it probably wouldn’t happen however there were only 2 tables in at the time. It was just very weird and came across creepy.

Food was... read more I’m a typical Brit who begrudges paying dollars for pasta, but I think I might be converted, not by all Italian restaurants but by this one definitely. Food was reasonably priced but was absolutely stunning in taste. If you ever said to me let’s go for an Italian I would make my excuses, but if you said let’s go here I am in, top job from food all the way through to the staff .

We had lasagne, carbonara and a p... read more Traveling in Dover for the weekend. Il Rustico offered reasonably priced Italian food with a nice atmosphere and good service. We had lasagne, carbonara and a pizza. They were all good. We paid about £60 for three meals and a bottle of wine. Would recommend
