There are definitely two distinct bar areas... read more The Rosie has gained a bit of a rough reputation, but in my 15 years of visiting, I've never encountered any issues. There are definitely two distinct bar areas, and I’ve found that if you’re focused on playing pool and enjoying yourself, you generally won’t face much hassle. As another establishment from Okells, it’s located on the Terrace, which means you can easily grab a takeaway afterward or start your night here before making a short 10-minute walk down to the main Douglas area (it’s all downhill, so it’s easier on the way down!). While it’s a bit of a stretch to call the front concrete area a 'beer garden,' it’s nice to enjoy a pint outside on sunny days and watch the world go by.
