The service was friendly and fantastic. The food was amazing! If you enjoy spicy dishes, their spicy rolls are a must-try. The sriracha mayo is incredible! I also loved the affenhirn—delicious! I would definitely recommend this place and will definitely come back. The geld gehirn app is a fried mushroom stuffed with filling. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Kyoto Sushi:
Would not recommend. Food was just okay but the service was subpar. Note that I gathered all of the used dishes and they still brought more food out and didn’t clear the old dishes away. Server was too busy chatting with his coworkers and looking at his phone to bother. The cashier (and I’m assuming owner or manager) asked how it was and I said “okay” so obviously they don’t care how the service or food are either. View all feedback.
The Titanic Roll might just be my favorite sushi roll I've ever had. It's such a lovely place to dine, and they're excellent with takeout as well.

By far the best sushi I have ever had! My fiancé got me hooked on Sushi at a Chinese buffet about a year ago and we've made it a thing where we try a new Sushi place each week. We've eaten here two weeks in a row. It is somewhat expensive, but definitely worth it. The people are super sweet as well! Props to the chef! I've never had food with so much flavor in it. Definitely my favorite place to eat in Dothan.
Tldr; food poisoned Sad to post this because I have eaten here many many times and it's been good. On Tues 5-31-22 I took my two oldest kids there. I should have known to leave when I went to turn the menu over and it was sticking to the table from what I assume was a spill... but I had so many good experiences there I chalked it up to just an oversight. The next day I was run down and tired with a fever followed by 2 days of diarrhea and not being able to eat anything. It's Friday 6-3-22 at noon and just now feeling somewhat normal. I know it was the sushi because the only thing I had prior was an apple for breakfast. $110 down the drain, quite literally.
We also had the sushi rolls, and they were delicious as always. I can't recall the exact names of the rolls we ordered, but they were both fantastic—perfectly rolled and flavorful. The atmosphere was wonderful, featuring an open layout with a small bar where you can watch the chef at work. The service was decent—not overly attentive, but they kept our drinks filled and brought our food out in a timely manner, which is what really matters. This is definitely a place I’d love to visit again, especially for that incredible miso soup!
