Actually the adjacent Country Kitchen Grill next door is the Best Value (and they have turkey legs). Grab it here, then get a table inside during the hot summer months. View all feedback.
What Aimee H doesn't like about The Pit At Country Kitchen:
Disgusting and overpriced. BBQ sandwich meat was sitting in a tin pan looking like old cat food. The mac and cheese clearly was previously frozen, probably Stouffer's. View all feedback.
Honestly great BBQ for an amusement park. The portions are decent and we really enjoyed the KD BBQ sauce. We had the 1/2 smoked chicken, pulled pork, and chicken tenders. The chicken tenders were huge and moist. My daughter said they were some of the best chicken tenders she has ever had in her life. The pulled pork was really tender and had great flavor even before putting the sauce on it. Smoked chicken also wasn't dry, and had great smoky flavor to it. The mac and cheese was surprisingly good as well. Potato wedges were, well, potato wedges so I think its hard to screw those up. Overall, we bought three platters for two adults a teen girl and tween boy and everyone was full. Now, the prices are still amusement park prices so with the food and drinks it was seventy dollars. So, take that into consideration. But that was our one meal in the park so we were ok with it. We go to KD every year and I will definitely go back for food at The Pit.
The “pit” with the turkey legs and ribs does NOT take the meal pass. Sorry, you’ll have to pay extra on top of your pass if you want those.
