We found this hidden treasure on our first day in Dortmund for the Christmas markets. Although it was central, it was only at the main square so it was not full of tourists. The local drinkers matched the authentic decor that it felt unique. The employees were very friendly and even let us practice our basic German. We were a group of eight, but that seemed no problem at all. It was such a positive experience, we returned the following day to the Dortmund vs. Berlin football match. It had a great atmosphere and had even both followers, plus us neutral, in the mix without problems. If you're in the area, this pub is definitely worth a visit.
To watch in this pub before the signal Iduna Park Borussia Village play in the Bundesliga. The staff was great, the beer was great, but unfortunately the small pub was small and tight for my own taste. The toilets were dirty and many sinks, turknobs and so on was somewhat dirty and/or broken. Alltogether a cozy little place, but not a pub I would stay all night.
We were here to watch Dortmund on TV. The place was packed with local supporters, but service was very fast. A good selection of beer and very friendly staff. We haven't eaten here so we can't comment on the food.
