I have visited this Restaurant a number of times. The dishes are traditional local food, well prepared and economical. This is the place where Locals come to have a beer, play cards and have something good to eat. Here you can relax with friends, even sing a song. No frills and not for snobs. It's a restaurant that kind of fell out of time. No interior designer has ever touched this place, so religious paintings with new age can exist embarrassingly like wall decorations, an old watch and another stuff. Not ma-style, but nothing to be arrogant. And the place is clean (yes, the toilets too), the service is friendly and the food is honest. My partner had the lunch menu (soup, goulash with dumplings and lettuce) while I moved to the Palatinate. The soup was o.k., the salad was fresh, obviously homemade, beautifully made and not a corn or tomatoes from the season in sight. The goulash was delicious, with a beautiful sauce, the dumplings fluffy and the palat ham a generous portion with beautiful apricot jam. I would believe that everything was actually made at home, basically what was earlier to cook as a good-bourgeois or like my grandma. And the price was absolutely fair. There were many locals for their lunch and what felt as absolutely fantastic was the group of people with special needs served at one of the other tables. They were obviously regular... how integration should be: normal!

Vom Wirt erhielten wir eine kleine Karte. Das bestellte Gulasch stellte sich als Fertigprodukt heraus, der extra dazu bestellte Salat kam direkt aus dem Kühlraum und war entsprechend eiskalt. Das "Original Wiener Schnitzel" vom Schwein!!! kam aus der Friteuse. Einmal und nie wieder...
Beautiful place with a pleasant dining room garden in the pedestrian zone. we had a taste of eating. it should have been a bit more volatile.
