L'etape - Donzenac

Quiet and friendly place. Excellent cuisine with generous portions... we feel that the products are quality and fresh. To recommend.

A Cosi place on two floors, very friendly and charming in the middle of the village. We ate excellent and hearty pizzas, good wine and good desserts including the homemade chocolate pear tart. Very pleasant server. A nice surprise stop in Donzenac. Recommended. However, confirm in advance if the local specialties are available ... ;

We had a meal on the terrace, the pizzas were good and the waiter was friendly.

We only happened on this restaurant by chance as on a Friday night in June all other options in Donzenac were fully booked and we were getting desperate. As it was we could only eat outside but it was a balmy evening and we were simply grateful to be given a table. In the event we enjoyed a really super meal! I had the lasagne which was bubbling hot and totally delicious whilst my partner raved about his pizza with its crispy crust and plentiful topping. A very good cafe gourmand finished off a great evening. This is an unpretentious place obviously popular with locals as well as visitors. Highly recommended!

We chose this restaurant because of the three we found on. Sunday evening this opened first. The only choice of pasta was penne with different toppings. It was tasty but took 30 minutes to come as I think they were making take-away pizzas first.
