Description

**A Culinary Dive into Local Fish and Chips**

Patrons flock to this seaside café for its celebrated fish and chips, often hailed as the best in years, thanks to its perfect batter and succulent fish. The atmosphere is inviting, complemented by caring staff to enhance the dining experience. However, diners have noted inconsistencies, particularly with service speed and portion sizes. While some have encountered pricing surprises, others appreciate the overall value and abundant free street parking. Despite varying experiences, the food consistently garners high marks, making it a notable destination for those craving authentic, flavorful fish and chips by the sea.

"The service was quite slow, but as usual, the food was excellent. I dined in for dinner, and I spent between £10 and £20 per person. I would rate the food a 5, the service a 2, and the atmosphere a 3. I highly recommend the Fish and Chips. As for parking, there is plenty available, with free street parking options."

Visited on Saturday when the Ulster Scots event was on so it was busy. This is my first time back since its reopening. As before, go forward to the till to order past people waiting for their order) but be wary of the pricing. I thought I read on the board as did my friend) a can of pop was £1.00 but checking my bill afterwards outside, it turns out they are £1.70 each. A 8oz Hawaiian burger £7.95) was described by my friend as tasty but alas no extra chips were included as you would normally expect. I had the sausage supper which had 2 sausages, very tasty £6.40). The amount of chips where enough for one certainly and I did share as my friend was in need lol. If you have a large appetite, you will have to order accordingly, in my opinion. Probably a sign of the times, re portion sizes. No-one asked about ketchup napkins weren't provided/seen; plastic forks are on the counter and salt/vinegar were enquired about before wrapping. N.B. They don't sell ice-cream now!
