I don't know how someone might be proud to serve something that looked so terrible that the makkaroni and be so cheeky and look as old as the sweetness yams looked like they were sitting at the bottom of the pot for 3 days and they just sat it in the container and gave it to me the meat laaf oh my gott was a part of the terrible food I've ever been trying to find out. I do not recommend anyone who wastes their money in this restaurant

Honestly my food has al... read more I recently found this place when I purchased a home in Calumet City. Myself, my family and friends have ordered from here several times. Honestly my food has always been fresh, plentiful and flavorful. It's hard to find a soul food place where all the sides DON'T taste like they come out a can. This is now my soul food place on the South Side of town. Great food and always a great experience.

I think the menu needs some improvements. I had the rice and gravy, but it was quite unpleasant, and the collard greens were big but lacked flavor. I could have gone to Crystal's instead; at least they serve a good meal.
