Unsatisfying dinner. On the positive side : friendly staff but sorry to say that the food quality is way too low for this price level. On the menu the dishes sounded great but on the plate it was disappointing. Not tasty and mostly covered with lettuce. And The mains( filet) : first one was way overcooked , I ordered medium , the second one was also wrong, medium well done. Think the chef hates red meat. And with a size of less than 125 grams too small No perhaps better restaurants in the adjacent shopping mall.
We had the four course EUR 59 menu per person which set the expectations high, based on both menu description of dishes as well as the rather high price point, however, we were very disappointed with the quality of food. Starter has prawns that seemed they were cooked a few days ago, Fish course was undercooked for three of us, steaks were very chewy and we ended up cancelling dessert. Kids food was ok apart over salted chips one cannot really get chips and burgers wrong). Wine and staff were luckily good but we were truly shocked about the level of cooking. All of us have eaten in some amazing restaurants in France and wider Europe for much less money, one of us is a chef herself, and this really is not a place we would ever come back to.
This restaurant is located inside Holiday Inn Toison d’Or, Dijon and we arrived late in the day, didn’t feel like driving or walking next door decided to try the onsite restaurant. This turned out to be a very good dining experience. The food and service was very good, along with very efficient wait staff. We ordered for entrees 2- Ravioles Langoustines, a water and glass of wine. For dessert, we had 2 – Moelleux Chocolat with a Café au Lait and espresso. Total for dinner was €66,60. It is also a dog friendly restaurant, as we were eating a couple came in with there dog, did not see a bib on the dog that said it was a service dog. It was well behaved.
I never quite know what to expect when I have a late dinner at restaurants in hotels such as Holiday Inns or similar: it can span the entire spectrum from downright awful to just great. So in general, my expectations are not very high, and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by Gallery 412. The dining room is spacious and bright, the tables are set not too close to one another. The menu and wine list offer a wide selection for all tastes. The food was good, nicely prepared and presented. The service was friendly and quick. There was even an amuse-bouche. Overall a nice experience.
During a stay at the Holiday Inn Dijon we had lunch while we were waiting for our room.although the restaurant was closing at 2 pm they were friendly and flexible and allowed us to have lunch although we arrived at their closing time.it was a pleasant experience. Service was friendly and efficient.they had a small but exquisite choice of wines by the glass.I had a very good Cotes du Rhône with my pavé du Cangourou. The filet came with a very tasty cabbage accompaniment.a surprising and perfect combination.my partner had Coq au Vin with Spätzle which was a huge portion and very well prepared, too. For dessert we had a perfectly made Creme brulee. I highly recommend this place.it was full with local business people which is nearly always a good sign.there is vast guarded outside parking free for guests.it is always great when your hotel has an excellent dining venue.
