an old school transformed into a hostel, a lovely service by a boss listens. I enjoyed the snail cassoulet. Yes, yes, which is worth the discovery. an excellent and highly measured regional cellar in its prices. good traditional French cuisine not to miss if you pass in the area. View all feedback.
What Christophe Carpentier dislikes about L'auberge De Vigny:
I'll be back with pleasure, the address is always as good as 12 years later! The terrace is under the preaud' an old school. The menu is very small and the original and worked dishes. Definitely trying when we're in the area! View all feedback.

Extraordinary A real mess We keep the address and will not hesitate to come back Everything was perfect Tasty and very fine cuisine
Great address to enjoy an excellent meal. The dishes were delicious from the beginning to the end. I highly recommend.
Very good address, inventive cuisine, welcoming and pleasant service, I recommend this restaurant. Another good time in L'Auberge, the quality of the dishes is always excellent, and the very friendly service. One more faultless from beginning to end.
A little in the middle of nowhere, this little culinary delight was a very pleasant discovery. A nicest service, a very pleasant place, and the contents of our plates have made our taste buds dance! If I ever come back in the corner, I'll make a detour through the inn!
Well, but I'm not willing to choose my menu in advance.

It isn't easy to find but this Auberge lies in the beautiful countryside of Burgundy and it was a real surprise. It's a family run business: the husband is the cook and the wife is the maitre. We took two menus plaisir and drank two beers. The dishes were very well executed, Mrs Nathalie was very gentle and able to serve at the table effectively. The kitchen is absolutely commendable: not to be missed!
Very friendly. Simple choices, very traditional, with some tasty and well prepared dishes. Service done by the wife while the husband toils alone in the kitchen. The wine list is limited but with a couple of good choices. Only problem: in the middle of Charolais, where you expect the best beef in Europe… the rumpsteak was far from tender…
We recently had our second visit to this restaurant, after having a very good initial experience last year. This time was even better, as we were able to secure a table on the covered patio with a view of the beautiful back yard, kitchen garden, and verdant hillsides in the distance. Although I normally don't order beef in French restaurants, I tried the steak and was amazed. It was by far the best steak I have had since moving to France several years ago. Carefully trimmed of fat, no gristle, perfectly cooked it could not have been better. If you've ever seen a photograph of a perfect steak in an advertisement this steak looked like that. The service was attentive and prompt. The hostess, Nathalie Lagarde, who, along with her husband and chef Christophe, run the restaurant, was friendly, kind, and did an excellent job keeping the place humming. A couple of notes: (1) Although the address is listed as Digoin, the auberge is located (obviously) on the edge of Vigny, a small commune of Digoin that actually is situated closer to Paray le Monial than to Digoin. (2) L'Auberge de Vigny has its annual closure in October, so plan accordingly.
Being a drizzly Thursday, eating good food seemed to be the only sensible alternative to sightseeing and walking. Thus on a friend's recommendation we drove the short way from Charolles to L'Auberge de Vigny. We were greeted by the chef's wife who made every effort to make us feel welcome, in English. The meal which followed was a joy to experience as was the wine. We'd strongly recommend this one.
A short drive into the countryside around Digoin, you'll discover this wonderful Michelin rated auberge. The husband and wife team offer a warm hospitable welcome and some of the best and tastiest food we've enjoyed in eons. The fixed price menus at lunchtime are a steal and the suggested wines were a joy. Book ahead and enjoy a treat!
