What User doesn't like about Fundy Dockside Restaurant And Bar:
After a long journey to the Brier Island, we came to eat dinner here. Got the lasagna, not my favourite. The lasagna itself was full of seafood like scallops, that were way too salty. The garlic bread was good, but the taste didn't go well with the lasagna. The salad on the other hand was okay at first, but I guess the mixture of the food didn't agree with me and it tasted really sour by the end of the meal. The food... View all feedback.
We visited during the Wharf Rat Rally, and even though there were thousands of people, we received excellent service and hardly had to wait at all!
As for the accommodations, our room was modern and beautifully decorated. We were genuinely impressed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and would not consider staying anywhere else.
I ordered the scallop entree, which came with a baked potato and vegetables. While the scallops were well-cooked, they didn't impress me as the best I've ever had, especially after my delightful lunch at the Crow’s Nest the day before. My husband chose the panko breaded haddock, and this is where the review earns its three stars. The fish had an overwhelmingly fishy taste, suggesting it may have been old, which was unexpected from a place located right on the water known for its seafood. Additionally, the haddock was served as one large piece rather than two smaller fillets, which is what we are accustomed to at other East Coast restaurants. This likely indicates it might have been farmed, which is disappointing, especially in a place like Digby where one would expect exceptional seafood. Given my prior experience at the Crow's Nest for lunch and the dinner at the Fundy Restaurant, I would recommend anyone looking for quality seafood to choose the Crow's Nest for a more worthwhile dining experience.
We didn't stay here but the food was fantastic, so good that we came back for lunch the next day before we left Digby.Scallops from Digby are the best in the world and they have the best of Digby, don't miss this place if you are in the area.Great food with friendly accommodating staff.
This review is for the restaurant only. Service was good but the food was just alright. Nice views on the outside patio.
