T... read more We were there earlier this year for a murder mystery dinner, and it was great. Now we just visited the restaurant with friends, and it was very disappointing. The service staff were discordant and unprofessional. Problems at the front desk were shouted across the dining room, and a tuna dip was passed off as creme freche. With vegetarians and me, who don't like fish, it was simply unpleasant. The meat was tough, the tortellini was very dry, and the salad had so much vinegar that it was inedible. The building is beautiful, but the ambiance is lost. There are no tablecloths anymore, just paper placemats. A real shame.

The room was very well furnished and spacious. The bathroom was large and beautifully modernized. If our journey takes us back to Diez, we'd be happy to come back.
