Thanh's Palace - Dieppe
Thanh's Palace
Description
The restaurant receives mixed reviews with some praising the delicious food, particularly the Wong Tong soup, while others criticize the lackluster service and dated interior. Diners recommend the spring rolls and Pad Thai, despite the unimpressive ambiance. Overall, the combination dinners, Vietnamese food, and friendly service are highlights. The establishment is considered to be worthy of a visit, especially for takeout orders. Although the restaurant has areas for improvement such as cleanliness and ambiance, the food quality and prompt service are consistently commended by patrons.

I was in the mood for Asian cuisine and this was the only open spot. While it wasn't entirely authentic, it satisfied my craving. There doesn't seem to be many other Asian food options in the area.
Our experience at Thanh's Palace was extremely disappointing. We ordered Pad Thai and Chicken Teriyaki, but both dishes were barely touched due to their poor quality. The Pad Thai tasted nothing like it should, resembling more of a noodles with an overwhelming fish sauce and soy sauce flavor. My girlfriend couldn't even swallow her first bite. The Chicken Teriyaki was rubbery and the broccoli on the side was discolored. I ended up just eating the plain rice and some of the broccoli. Despite quick service and a friendly server, we were denied a window seat even though the restaurant was empty. Overall, this visit to Thanh's Palace was our first and last.
I came here because I was really having a craving for some noodles in a place where there doesn't seem to be many Asian restaurants. I ordered the B2 Pork vermicelli with an extra Imperial roll and Vietnamese iced coffee. In most restaurants this comes out in a heaping serving but tonight at Thanh's place it was a bit smaller than what you would find in Montreal, Toronto. It did however hit the spot. Served with a good amount of vegetables and was fresh tasting and just enough! Service from the woman (who looked to be the owner) was nice, sincere and polite. I'd definitely come back as it's a great place not far from Moncton Airport! Just what you need on a cold snowy night. Overall I'd say it's 3.5/5 range but because of the experience I bump it to 4 as the service was good!
Great pho. Food came out fast and tasty. Only thing lacking was the herbs that usual Vietnamese place would or should offer.
