The patio overlo... read more My wife and I decided to visit The Gate on a sunny Sunday morning. The restaurant was not very busy, but there were many golfers on the course. The patio overlooks the golf course, and the view is fantastic - you can see the golfers approaching, and the scent of the flowers around the patio added to the lovely atmosphere. We both ordered The Gate burger and were very pleased with our choice! It was packed with flavor, generous in size, and so tall that it was a challenge to eat. The burger was made with fresh ground beef, cheese, lettuce, and pickles, and came with a choice of sides. I opted for the waffle fries, while my wife chose sweet potato fries. The portion size was generous, and although I felt like there was almost too much food, everything was delicious. We enjoyed watching the golfers finishing their rounds while soaking up the beautiful view, nature, and the warm spring sun. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed!

While the food was good, I would prefer a restaurant with a more specific cuisine focus. The braised beef that my wife ordered was delicious. However, the air conditioning was too cold, making the room uncomfortably chilly.

Despite the fact that it was only half full, the waiter seemed disinterested and unfriendly. The portions of bread were tiny, the appetizer took a long time to arrive, and our main courses took even longer. We were ready to leave before our food even came. The food was decent, but the overall experience was not worth the frustration. The salmon burger and sweet potato fries were good, but the chicken carbonara was served without any sides, not even a garnish of parsley, despite the presence of homegrown herbs in the foyer. We had to keep our coats on the entire time because the restaurant was not adequately heated. This was our second visit to this restaurant with similar disappointing results, so we won't be returning.

The only thing that wasn’t the best was the service. Our server didn’t really seem like he knew what he was...doing and was a bit disorganized, but was still nice. I would definitely recommend!
