St. James Gate in Fox Creek offers a mix of hits and misses, with average food but standout service. The new staff stood out for their stellar service, while the disappointing dishes left much to be desired. The international cuisine offers a variety of meat-based dishes and pasta options. The upscale restaurant, located at the Fox Creek Golf Club, provides a great dining experience with a pub-like atmosphere and a range of menu choices. Despite some service hiccups, the fresh seafood is a standout option and a must-try at the restaurant. Overall, St. James Gate offers a mixed bag of experiences and flavors.

Was Sheridan Jaskolski at Saint James Gate a mag?
Have been there several times now - have never been let down. From the apps to the main courses to the desserts. Always something good to enjoy. Nice atmosphere as well. View all feedback.

What Elisabeth Yost dislikes about Saint James Gate:
This restaurant offers a variety of international dishes including meats, chicken-based dishes, and pasta. While the food was good, I would prefer a restaurant with a more specific cuisine focus. The braised beef that my wife ordered was delicious. However, the air conditioning was too cold, making the room uncomfortably chilly. View all feedback.

The food is quite bland and certainly overpriced. The staff is not very friendly. They do offer gluten free options, which is good. I might come again, but just for the scenery.

A very upscale restaurant located within the Fox Creek Golf Club. If only we had time for a game. Nonetheless, our dinner at Saint James Gate with friends from Shediac was an acceptable substitute. They offer a good variety of choices on the menu, a fine selection of draft beer and wine, and a great pub-like atmosphere. Though a little bit off the beaten path (from the Transcan highway), a great place to stop.

My wife and I decided to visit The Gate on a sunny Sunday morning. The restaurant was not very busy, but there were many golfers on the course. The patio overlooks the golf course, and the view is fantastic - you can see the golfers approaching, and the scent of the flowers around the patio added to the lovely atmosphere. We both ordered The Gate burger and were very pleased with our choice! It was packed with flavor, generous in size, and so tall that it was a challenge to eat. The burger was made with fresh ground beef, cheese, lettuce, and pickles, and came with a choice of sides. I opted for the waffle fries, while my wife chose sweet potato fries. The portion size was generous, and although I felt like there was almost too much food, everything was delicious. We enjoyed watching the golfers finishing their rounds while soaking up the beautiful view, nature, and the warm spring sun. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed!
