I let them know in advance that I was celebrating, and they graciously allowed my family to add some decorations. To top it off, I received a complimentary bottle of wine as a congratulatory gift for my marathon achievement. The staff made me feel like a hero; they all took a moment to chat with me and even posed for photos together. Now, about the food – I indulged in 14 different dishes during this celebration (I know, that’s quite a bit, but after running a marathon, I feel justified!). Based on this extensive tasting, I feel qualified to comment on the food quality. Here’s what I ordered: - All 8 meze dishes - Grilled sucuk - Calamari - Lamb guvec - Zigana cooked sekerpare - Rice pudding I enjoyed every single dish, but the true highlights were the hummus, calamari, grilled sucuk, and lamb guvec. The lamb guvec was perfectly cooked; the meat was so tender it practically melted in my mouth. If you're a fan of lamb, I highly recommend this dish. The calamari was perfectly crispy and deliciously tender, while the grilled sucuk—a spiced Turkish sausage—added a flavorful twist that stood out on the menu. Lastly, the hummus was simply delightful and creamy. I find it difficult to find the words to capture the experience, as I'm still riding high from the marathon, but I hope I've done my best! If you're in Didcot and haven't had the chance to visit Zigana yet, do yourself a favor and go!

The portions are generous, and they'll gladly pack up any leftovers in a takeout box for you to take home. We left completely satisfied! I only managed to take photos of the starters, but we're definitely planning to return. The waitress was also very attentive and helpful.
