Ginger Hibachi - Dickson
Ginger Hibachi
Description
Hidden in the suburbs, this family-run hibachi spot draws loyal diners for generous portions, bold homemade sauces and reliably tasty hibachi — steak, shrimp and cheese wontons get frequent praise. It's a clean, counter-service joint with quick takeout and wallet-friendly prices, though the dining room is large, bare and impersonal. Service ranges from attentive to brusque, and quality can be uneven (some report overcooked chicken and isolated hygiene issues). Best for casual, value-driven meals rather than refined dining experiences.

The fried rice was fresh and reasonably priced. The service was quick and friendly. I ordered takeout for lunch, and I found it to be an excellent value, with prices ranging from $1 to $10. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at 5 out of 5.
Excellent experience! The portions are generous! Food: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Atmosphere: 4/5
The food was excellent and there was plenty of it! I dined in and would rate the food a 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5 as well.
First of all let me say the food is really really good. We had 2 hibachi lunch plates with steak and chicken, the cheese wontons, and fried scallops. All of it was delicious. And the portions are huge. The place is a counter walk up. You get a number and seat yourself. There is no atmosphere to speak of in the finding room. It’s large and cold with no character. But the place is very very clean. So, kudos! I will say that the customer facing employees are rude, brief, and pushy. They look completely miserable doing what they’re doing, and seem very impatient. I am sure the elderly country folk of the area get intimidated when they’re ordering. I mean, I got intimidated while ordering and I am in my late 30s and have been all over the world lol all to say, the experience from the staff isn’t great, and they ask for a tip cuz America. All in all, the food was great and we’d go back. But if you’re looking for a pleasant dining experience, look elsewhere. What can I say? The food was perfectly prepared and very flavorful with just the right amount of seasonings. The service and the ambience was outstanding. Very friendly staff who worked quickly and diligently to prepare our orders. Will definitely visit again. 6 stars lol.
