It’s my first coming at Diamond Harbour, I got some good food and cozy atmosphere, good quality and friendly service as well, a good place to settle down your mood after reading the lives of the people who rest at the memorial cemetery forever. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Diamond Harbour Eatery:
Waited 25 minutes for a single takeaway coffee despite it being quiet and with two baristas on the machine. The girl at the front was lovely, but seemed to have all the work dumped on her while the guys just stood around. Coffee is good, but not worth missing the ferry for! View all feedback.
I tried the big breakfast, and it was decent but not outstanding. The one piece of bacon (not shaped like a smiley face) was fine, and the potato hash looked appealing, but it was a bit greasy. It was nice that the place wasn’t busy on a Saturday morning, and the service was fairly quick.
I had a fantastic experience at the restaurant. The service was excellent—I requested a smaller portion of the loaded wedges since the regular size would have been too much for me, and they gladly accommodated my request at half the price. I paired it with a nice cold beer, although it was a bit pricey at $12. Still, I enjoyed it. The young waiter came over to apologize for the wait on my food, which was thoughtful, even though I wasn't too concerned about it. Overall, I had a great time there. Thank you!
The best advice I can give is: "Don't go there." It took an hour for us to receive four dishes, and they ended up missing two of them. One of the missing items was even out of stock, and they only informed us about it after we had already paid—an hour later.
Absolutely terrible experience. One staff member was just wandering around doing nothing, leaving the other to handle everything. We waited 25 minutes for our coffee to arrive, and it wasn't even busy. When it finally came, it was way too hot to drink. After another 20 minutes without our food, we decided to leave without eating. We asked for a refund but were unable to get one. The whole situation was just too dramatic, so we went to the fish and chip shop by the supermarket instead. Save yourself the trouble and just head straight to the supermarket for rolls and sandwiches, or go to the fish and chip shop.
I went for a stroll and decided to stop by for some coffee. I really enjoyed both the coffee and the brownies!
