Himalaya Waterfall Cafe - Dharamshala

Perhaps it is a bit optimistic to call this place a "restaurant", but it is worth mentioning for several reasons that I will tell you about. The restaurant is located next to the McLeod waterfalls, so it is a luxury to find ourselves at this height and distance from the town, after the hot and steep path, a place where we can sit and recharge after a swim. Enjoying a good chai while chatting with friends or enjoying the silence and views that this place offers. It seems that in the harsh winter, when everything is covered and isolated by snow, this man spends the tough season here, between snow and bears that come closer out of curiosity as soon as spring arrives. He sustains himself with rice and little else during his voluntary retreat. The menu is quite simple, normal, it must be very difficult to bring provisions up here (the only way to get here is on foot), but the food is good, we had some thalis and sandwiches, simple, good and inexpensive; the floor of the terrace is the same rock that bathes the blue pools, well, a little corner in paradise to recharge and enjoy the views. Before leaving, we fill our bottle with water freshly fallen from the glacier and leave with a smile to enjoy the beauty of the way back.
