Stayed here last night. What a lovely hotel! I asked for a quiet room and it couldn't have been more peaceful! The Bear Grills Bistro was fab. But one...
The food was delicious, especially the Mac and cheese which was fantastic. The warm Bakewell tart was tasty as well. Unfortunately, the service was extremely poor. It took longer to place our order than it did to receive and finish our meals.

Located in the Market Square in the center of Devizes, this restaurant is housed in a large, historic building. It is a favorite among the older crowd and tends to fill up quickly during lunch hours. The restaurant features spacious open fireplaces, adding to its cozy atmosphere.
We just want to say what a wonderful evening we had in the bear, we were overnight in the four rooms, very comfortable and cozy. excellent, friendly staff, we had an evening dinner in the bear grill restaurant, it was a perfect meal, very attentive service. definitiw deserves a 5 stars. many thanks that we enjoyed our stay very much
