Ordered two identical meals (mushroom burge... read more Walked into the restaurant to order take out and the counter person was surfing on his cellphone. Not a great start. Ordered two identical meals (mushroom burger, curley fries, drinks) and after we got back to our hotel, discovered the orders were wrong. Not worth the effort to drive back, and just ate what we had. The burgers were a decent temperature, but both orders of fries were not warm in the least. Unfortunate, because we don't have Hardee's where we live (used to) and we were looking forward to the meal. Not afraid to give it another try the next time we visit Devils Lake; can't go anywhere, but up!

Where I moved here from, this restaurant is called Carls Jr. and that place is my favorite fast food. The aroma of the charbroiled burgers is just wonderful! So... read more Where I moved here from, this restaurant is called Carls Jr. and that place is my favorite fast food. The aroma of the charbroiled burgers is just wonderful! So upon arrival in the DL, I wanted to try out a Hardee’s and was aghast at what I found. Staff was less than apathetic, the ambiance of the place felt like everyone just go the word that their dog died. Had a burger and coffee which were both ok, it’s just that the overall “feel” of the place was so depressing that I wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. I’ve seen this depressed/apathetic staff thing in other food service businesses throughout North Dakota, so this location is not an outlier; just a symptom of a sickness in local society here. Pretty sad really.
