This restaurant had an inviting aroma, always a good sign. The space is charming with a casual seating area featuring picnic tables. We chose to sit in the front room near the kitchen, which had sleek community tables and counter tops with an Asian-inspired design. I ordered the vegan Pho and it was absolutely delicious, almost bringing me to tears. The tofu was fresh and perfectly textured, and the broth helped to cure a brewing cold. My dining companion had the golden curry, but found the texture too thick and the dish to be mostly rice, which seemed undercooked. While there were some vegetables included, celery was not a preferred ingredient. I took several bites but ultimately did not enjoy it. My partner thought it was just "ok." I recommend trying the Pho and look forward to trying the Udon next time.
There is only one vegan broth option, but it is so tasty you won't need another option. There are two vegan rice bowl options and a couple appetizers. Everything is delicious, with complex flavors. They serve booze too. Casual type seating, fast-paced. If you are visiting Detroit this is one place you must not miss.
