Paraplü Detmold – A True Heritage with Heart For me, Paraplü is an absolute institution in Detmold – anyone who's here or ever comes here simply has to stop by. This bar is as much a part of Detmold as Hermann himself! The service is excellent – a young, friendly team that impresses with their wit, charm, and speed. You immediately notice that they work with passion. The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and always full of good cheer – it's simply fun to spend time there. The drinks menu leaves nothing to be desired, and the kitchen also reliably delivers: simple, down-to-earth dishes – perfect for a quick snack, especially during rush hour. But there are also always small culinary highlights on the daily menu that are pleasantly surprising and truly delicious. Whether for a quick drink, a snack, or a relaxing evening – Paraplü is always a good idea. I highly recommend it!

The food was mostly convenience food but tasty, although I found 5 measly chicken wings for €7 a bit cheeky. The service could be nicer. The atmosphere is great, the drinks are good!
