Th... read more We visited Bastet twice during our visit to Detmold and ate mostly appetizers. The food was excellent. Sitting outside by the pond is a wonderful experience. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. We definitely recommend the restaurant. We found the value for money to be reasonable.

The friendly waiter led me to a free seat and handed... read more The first thing that caught my eye was the beautiful half-timbered house with its busy outdoor dining area. The friendly waiter led me to a free seat and handed me the menu. There were many dishes from various countries of the southeastern Mediterranean. I chose Lebanese-style salmon. I started with the non-alcoholic cocktail Bastet, followed by a Lebanese wine. To finish, I had a wonderful mocha with an oriental dessert as a gift from the house. Everything tasted excellent. The main course, in particular, demonstrated culinary skill. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
