I like this place. Art-nouveau interior, central location and good food. I usually order ribs buffet, but there are also other nice things in the menu, like the famous Ghent soup Waterzooi. The place is popular and often crowded, so it is better to book a table in advance to be sure you get a table, but even xithout a reservation you can still try to visit. View all feedback.
Amadeus is definitely a place for spare ribs enthusiasts. I am always visiting Amadeus whenever I am i Belgium . The food was great as always with unlimited ribs and jacket potato with amazing curry flavoured butter. The service was nice but could be a bit more friendly. Overall, I would recommend this place while you travel through Belgium.
Many of my friends suggested this restaurant as a must try in ghent. So i went there with some friends. It opens at 18 00. The atmosphere is great. Cosy and a little noisy. A reservation is a must in case you want to be seated quickly. I would not say the place is kids friendly. As for the food, wlthr ribs were ok, tasty but that special, however the potatoes are awesome. I can even say the best i had. The sauce is super tasty. I confirm that it is a must try. I think this place is an icon in ghent. I wish they had a kids area. Maybe this does not fit with the concept, but still.
There are 3 Amadeus restaurants in Ghent and this one is located just nearby the landmarks and the touristic area of Ghent. I dined here two times and so far I have nothing but positive experiences. The staffs are friendly, the serving is fast and food is good. This is all you can eat rib house but you can order something else even thought it’s quite limited it’s worth dining here. The atmosphere and the interior of the restaurant are so lovely even the music and the outfit of the waiters/waitress make me feel like I am back in the vintage time. The price is also good but expected more for Irish coffee but dame blanche ice cream was tasty. First time I dined in this restaurant I made a reservation and dined in second floor (it gave a homey vibe and it has big space). Second time I didn’t made any reservations but they were very quick to setup a table for you and it was downstairs (pretty one with the stain glass). Either way, I enjoyed dining in both area! Authentic vibe are the best for sure.
Ribs, ribs, ribs. Not much else to say. Superb service, as soon as the last rib is nibbled clean and discarded the staff dart over with a platter of fresh ribs until you politely decline having had your fill. Irish coffee is stunning, but get there early or make a reservation. Queue was into the square to get in before it opened.
We do recommend this restaurant. You can find a lot of evaluations and this shows the reality. The food (the ribs and the potatoes) is delicious and the staff was really friendly with us. Our advice is to make a reservation as soon as you can because we almost didn’t find available table in a Thursday night. Just for the beer alcohol free that you can find just one option and this could be better.
