What Zaria Wintheiser doesn't like about Goldfinch:
It was hopeful that this restaurant would be a place for business meetings in the city centre. Unfortunately, this will not be the case. Service was good, proteins on our salads were warm, temperature in the restaurant was cold and unfortunately this distracted from our meeting. I'm sorry our experience wasn't better. Had great hopes. Really cute place, only about 7 months old, it's food from Nepal. The staff are very nice and will help you choose the food if you don't know all of the menus. Good portions at a fair price for really unique food (and really good food!) View all feedback.

The location of Goldfinch is great, right downtown on Court Ave near Hy-Vee and the night scene for later if you so desire! With the option to sit indoors
Went to this new swanky restaurant before seeing a show at the Civic CenterWe ordered the Farmer's Chicken, the guacamole and the seasonal flatbread.
I really enjoyed the farm to table concept and after our server explained some of the menu items in more depth even things that I wouldn't usually try
This restaurant is closed. Open Table must be removed from the list.

read moreThe restaurant, located in the city center, fell short of being a great spot for business meetings due to lukewarm proteins and a cold atmosphere. Despite this, the vegetable momo and garlic nan were outstanding, and the goat curry was enjoyed by one diner. Service was praised as very good and attentive. However, there were complaints about slow service, incorrect orders, and small appetizer portions, which could be detrimental to the restaurant's success. On the bright side, the staff were described as very nice and helpful, providing unique and delicious Nepalese cuisine at fair prices. A mid-week visit revealed a quiet atmosphere with outstanding service and quick food delivery. Overall, the food was delicious, with standout dishes like the Iowa corn soup and chicken breast. Unfortunately, the restaurant has since closed, leaving patrons with fond memories of good food and service.
