Really cute place, only about 7 months old, it's food from Nepal. The staff are very nice and will help you choose the food if you don't know all of the menus. Good portions at a fair price for really unique food (and really good food!) View all feedback.
What Zaria Wintheiser doesn't like about Goldfinch:
It was hopeful that this restaurant would be a place for business meetings in the city centre. Unfortunately, this will not be the case. Service was good, proteins on our salads were warm, temperature in the restaurant was cold and unfortunately this distracted from our meeting. I'm sorry our experience wasn't better. Had great hopes. We have been here 3 times and we love it. It's rarely crowded and the food is delicious. The spice content is tolerable and not as hot as in other Indian restaurants. I recommend this little hole in the wall every day.
The location of Goldfinch is great, right downtown on Court Ave near Hy-Vee and the night scene for later if you so desire! With the option to sit indoors
Went to this new swanky restaurant before seeing a show at the Civic CenterWe ordered the Farmer's Chicken, the guacamole and the seasonal flatbread.
I really enjoyed the farm to table concept and after our server explained some of the menu items in more depth even things that I wouldn't usually try
The food was delicious. I started with a small goldfinch salad and had the salmon . My husband had the Iowa corn soup that looked amazing and then he enjoyed the chicken breast. We are very sorry to see the restaurant close. We have eaten there several times and always had good food
