Inconsistent reviews mention burnt food and wilted salads, while others praise the selection and quality of meals. Despite mixed opinions, the cafe's bright and friendly atmosphere, as well as helpful staff and fresh ingredients, leave a positive impression overall. With good value and portion sizes, it's a convenient spot for a quick coffee or meal. So, visit for a nice coffee and snack or a satisfying, hearty meal while enjoying a pleasant view of the world passing by outside.
Love this place, all hot and icy coffee can be made vegan. they make a vegan sausage roll and chips (or salad) for £5, the sausage roll is delicious and it is very filled! the staff are so friendly and know their menu and did it well. can not wait to go back!
I have been frequenting the Foyleside Cafe for years, as I work nearby and find it convenient for morning coffee or lunch. I have always enjoyed a 10% discount, which the staff kindly offered to me as a neighbor. However, my recent visit left me shocked by the attitude of one employee. When I mentioned the discount at the till, the girl questioned me and then rudely informed me that it was only for store employees. She slammed my food down on her side of the counter, making me reach for it awkwardly. I expressed my disappointment in the poor customer service and felt disrespected by her demeanor. While I understand if the discount policy is for store employees only, it could have been communicated more tactfully. I will not be returning to the cafe and will share my experience with my colleagues and friends. This employee could benefit from some training in customer service skills.
My partner and I have the same meal every week at this restaurant, but we've noticed that the prices vary depending on who is serving us. There is one particular server in Newtown Abbey who always charges us an extra £4. Although we enjoy the meal, feeling like we are being overcharged leaves a negative impression.
The spacious cafe has two entrances, one from inside the shopping center and the other from the street. The prices are affordable and the coffee is of good quality. Customers order at the counter.
Ordered a toasted ham and cheese sandwich to take away which came with a small portion of dressed leaves costing £7.95. Food was remarkably bland and disappointing
