What globalman2 doesn't like about The Anglers Rest:
We have been frequenting this pub for a few years now on our visits to the Monsal Trail. Normally we are more than satisfied with the service, quality and value for money. That has now changed. The service was poor with several members of staff... View all feedback.
Popped in for a few after the Tideswell loop walk. Great pint of Guinness and warm welcome . Nice and warm in the back bar so fantastico
What a lovely, traditional and friendly pub! We had a lovely meal the menu isn't extensive but it does offer a good choice and everything was well cooked and presented. The staff were really friendly (even offering scissors so we didn't have to fight to try to open the ketchup sachets a nice touch! . Well worth a visit.
Lovely pub, warm atmosphere and friendly staff. Just what we needed after a long walk. Food was good and reasonably priced.
Stopped off here for lunch. The food was excellent catering for a gluten free diet and one that was egg and dairy free. Lovely helpful staff who were very attentive. Very reasonably priced in lovely surroundings. Hope to go again!
Extremely good homecooked food, and excellent selection of real ales. Great service from friendly, helpful staff. Fabulous location, spotlessly clean traditional pub. Well worth the 90 minute drive! Can't wait to go back.
