The bartende... read more I had a wonderful evening at this restaurant. My husband and I decided to visit Matlock for a few days and almost missed this bar on the main road. The bartender was very friendly and helpful, even offering to help us arrange a taxi back to our bed and breakfast. The drinks were reasonably priced and there was a great atmosphere. The pub has a free jukebox so you can choose your own music. It was quiet since it was midweek, but we still had a fantastic time. We plan on coming back every night until we leave.

The beers and wines... read more We have visited this restaurant for lunch for the second time. So far, we have only tried the Tapas, which has been of a very high standard. The beers and wines are also excellent. The venue is not very large, only fitting around 30 people. This results in quick, polite service that is very attentive to ensuring a pleasant dining experience. We highly recommend this restaurant. It is the perfect dining spot.

We had to wait for our food as it was very busy and they were short staffed but the lovely girl behind the bar, who was serving everyone on her own, was apologetic and gave us some bread and oil/balsamic dip while we waited, she was really looking after her customers and was working at quite a pace, if only the service was this good everywhere else!
