What JoRaDaEs doesn't like about Granby Cafe:
We stopped here for breakfast, the cafe is very small with only four small tables (four people was cosy) which is not their fault but did mean we had to wait for a table to become free. We ordered the mega breakfast which was admittedly good value (especially with unlimited hot drinks), although interestingly our mega breakfast (largest on the menu) was not as big as the plate which emerged for another table…perhaps... Having walked around Bakewell, we chanced upon a small shopping arcade that had small local businesses plying their trade. As we progressed through the arcade we came across the cafe. Though small I.e. 4 tables, its' staff exuded warmth and friendliness. The food was fairly priced and tasty, the coffee was better than anything you would get from the national coffee shops. read moreGranby Cafe in Bakewell offers cozy seating for breakfast or lunch, with prices that won't break the bank. The mega breakfast provides excellent value, although portion sizes may vary. The staff, led by the welcoming Helen, are accommodating and friendly, creating a warm atmosphere. Menu options include classic breakfasts, Derbyshire oatcakes, and Bakewell treats. The cafe, though small, is worth a visit for good food and service, as prices are reasonable and portions are generous. Whether dining alone or with family, Granby Cafe is a reliable choice for a satisfying meal.
