Not before, we ate so good and sophisticated on a vacation in England. The quality of the hotel made us hope on a fine kitchen, but what we were shot at in The Gallery was flooded away from our expectations. Also the service was extremely courtesy and refined. We rarely enjoyed a holiday so much from dinner...

We decided to stay at this hotel because we wanted to visit Chatsworth House, and it turned out to be a great choice. The front desk staff were excellent and very helpful. The dining room staff were also very good, attentive but not pushy. The room was beautifully decorated and spacious. We were also lucky to have great weather during our stay, which made our experience even better thanks to the hotel's lovely surroundings.

When we asked for another drink, the Romanian server, who was in casual clothing, mentioned he was going to bed and asked if we needed anything else. It was only 11:30pm and we felt a bit rushed off. The next morning, when we inquired about breakfast, the same server seemed displeased and checked his watch when we asked which room breakfast was served in at 10:09am. In the end, we didn't feel welcomed at the Cavendish Hotel and decided to check out and book another place for the Saturday evening. Despite the great location, decor, and room quality, we were disappointed with the service. For the price we paid, we expected better treatment and not to be made to feel like outcasts for smoking or coming to breakfast slightly later. While the Cavendish Hotel may have many satisfied customers, we won't be returning.

We made a reservation for Sunday lunch at the main restaurant and received excellent service from all the staff as soon as we arrived. The food was delightful, with stunning views of the neighboring Chatsworth estate and a beautiful dining room. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

This is a really nice hotel on the edge of the Chatsworth estate. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. Our room overlooked the estate and it was such a gorgeous view! The beds are comfortable and they go the extra mile in little conveniences, including cold fresh milk for tea! So lovely! We ate offsite but they were very welcoming for every meal they made sure we had a place to eat.
