Viet's - Denver
Viet's
Description
Viet’s House delivers authentic, flavorful Vietnamese fare with standout grilled meats, generous rice and vermicelli bowls, and inventive shared rolls (soft-shell crab, shrimp tempura, grilled pork). Fresh papaya salad and varied seafood choices broaden the menu, while warm, attentive service and a family-friendly atmosphere make it great for groups and kids. Portions and value are strong. Caveat: pho can be inconsistent and steak preparation varies, so the grilled and rice dishes are the safest bets.

First of all, the vermicelli bowl with grilled pork was fantastic! My husband loved it, and at $10.95, it was a great deal. The egg rolls were delicious, crunchy, and really enjoyable. The reason I deducted one star is that the pho broth was quite disappointing. I arrived late, so I’m not sure if my broth was watered down or if something else was off, but it was one of the blandest broths I've ever tasted. That said, I did arrive just 45 minutes before closing. The other stars are for the wonderful service; everyone was incredibly kind! I would definitely try the pho again to see if it was just an off day. But I highly recommend coming here for the bun!
Overall, it’s not a bad place, but I wouldn't recommend coming here for the pho. The broth lacks the flavor found in other nearby restaurants, and the "rare steak" is tough, chewy, and really not a good cut. There’s nothing rare about it; it should be labeled as well-done steak. On the positive side, the rice bowls are quite good, and the portion sizes are generous. Their grilled meats are flavorful and delicious.
The flavors here are truly authentic and delicious. I highly recommend trying the Gỏi Đu Đủ Tôm Thịt – Papaya Salad with Shrimp and Steamed Pork, as well as the Viet’s House – Create Your Own Rolls. The rolls come with a fantastic selection including deep-fried soft shell crab, grilled pork, shrimp, shrimp paste, shrimp tempura, and egg rolls. It’s served with lettuce and rice noodles, making it perfect for sharing among 3 to 5 people.
The people who work here are really friendly, I like that they offer iced tea instead of water, I've never had that at a Pho restaurant before. The Pho was delicious!! The flavor was great and the amount of steak you get is very good as well. My five year old had so much fun with their stage and we all liked sitting in such a beautiful place.
