Reviews - Range
Reviews summary
Range restaurant offers a mixed dining experience, with some customers raving about the quality of the food and service while others left disappointed. One customer praised the quiet and elegant atmosphere, perfect for a date or upscale business dinner, and enjoyed a meal that was perfectly prepared. Another diner was impressed with the knowledgeable bartender and delicious cocktails. On the other hand, some customers were dissatisfied with their experience, including slow service and confusion over food descriptions. Despite the mixed reviews, Range seems to offer a diverse menu with large portions, making it a great spot for those looking to try a variety of dishes.
Was Michael Schuett at Range a mag?
Ryan was an amazing waiter and the food(for a hotel restaurant) was as good as any place I have eaten before. The crispy Brussels to start was amazing and the steak was cooked to perfection. My party also had the halibut and scallops both were very good. Would dine here again View all feedback.
What Matt I dislikes about Range:
Food had very little seasoning. Was very bland. Although we did have a burger and the ravioli at a steak place so maybe the steaks are better. Large table next to us had been drinking for awhile it appeared and weee extremely loud. The entire restaurant was disturbed by it. View all feedback.

Food was good. Dishes had flavor. Place was very unassuming. Their service was spectacular. Highly attentive to all needs.
Hotel is lovely and historic so thought we’d try the restaurant. It wasn’t bad, but sort of expected food quality overall would be better there. We got ribeye steaks and they were cooked as we requested but sides were overcooked and not very flavorful. Didn’t care much for bread service option which we chose instead of appetizers. Our waitress was friendly but not very knowledgeable about food options and didn’t make any suggestions etc. that I would expect for a more upscale restaurant. It was pretty pricey for the overall experience

Amazing service! Accommodated our group and sat us all together. The food is delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Really nice place, great service, the food was good and the ambiance as well as.
The food at the Range is good, but not great. I would say for the price it is probably a little pricey, but the salmon I had was tasty with the beets and Brussels sprouts
Went here on a work trip, ordered the short ribs and was not disappointed. The food was delicious, the braised meat fell apart and was fork tender, the red wine reduction sauce was flavorful. The service was prompt and attentive. About the only thing that I could have wanted was to have it not be part of a hotel I was staying in, and instead be more of a restaurant, but I can't really fault it too much for that. I was happy to discover they had a nice Paso Robles Cabernet.

I’ve honestly have never had a bad experience at range, and my experiences began in 2017 when I was flown here for an interview which was during Denver’s restaurant week. The food is always delicious I am very big on food presentation the meals are always displayed well. Service is top notch the food is delicious.
Your dining room now looks dated, and the chairs are so low that it is difficult to sit and eat comfortably. That said, we like to come here before the symphony or theatre and the menu is so diverse that we can get either a large or small meal.
Our server, Joseph, was very accommodating. Friendly and efficient. The food was very good, although my steak was boiled over; Medium good, not medium. Great drinks. Overall a very pleasant experience.
It was all just ok. It all felt quite run down, the restaurant experience and the food experience. I was very surprised based on the star rating and the price point. Table both those seated on the bench and chair side were uncomfortable, table too tall, zero support in chairs/uncomfortable. Brie seemed it had been prepared 20 minutes ago, not warm at all, baguette slices as if they came out of a package from the grocery store. Filet pretty good flavor, cooked perfectly medium, but not a $55 steak. 3 tiny sticks of asparagus and a tiny potato kennedy underneath that was nearly burned. Dessert decided to go somewhere else and not spend any more here. Wine just ok, though comp 'd for our birthdays, which was nice.

Excellent menu full of delectable, hearty creations. The staff are friendly, professional, and extremely accommodating. With the elegant ambiance of the Renaissance Hotel, range has become our family's go-to place for special celebrations. In December we arranged a birthday dinner with a table next to the enormous Christmas tree in the lobby, and last night we returned for another big birthday event, this time in the exquisite bank vault meeting room. Both were delicious, jolly, never-to-be-forgotten experiences. I look forward to making more memories with this fantastic restaurant!
Awesome atmosphere and happy hour. Delicious and generous portions for a great price. Truly beautiful, convenient spot. We walked to DCPA for our show, and enjoyed free valet parking. We will be back for sure.
