My go-to Italian spot in Denver! Handmade pasta, fresh burrata, top notch wine, cheese made in house, freshly shaved prosciutto, rustic breads.... Luca has it all! Add in the most friendly knowledgeable servers in town and you've got a spot to make memories. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Luca:
This is a small, slightly upscale, Italian restaurant in the heart of Denver. The food is good but not remarkable. There are only about ten tables, making reservations a very good idea. A deposit is required and a 22% automatic gratuity is applied. However, the servers make it clear the tip is split among the entire staff, so they overtly push for more than 22%, which goes directly to them. I think it’s unlikely we’l... View all feedback.
Amazing!!! I love this place. Best Italian in town!
The best Italian food in Denver! The chicken parmesan and mushroom fusilli are absolutely divine.
The food at this restaurant is exceptional, but the dessert was a bit disappointing. The service is great and the atmosphere is wonderful, but the prices are a little high.
The service at this restaurant, which includes a mandatory 22% fee, varied between minimal and insensitive, and was not worth the cost. One member of our group was very hungry upon arrival. We were promptly offered water, and later received a complimentary glass of Prosecco. However, fifteen minutes after being seated, we had still not met our server. After flagging someone down, we inquired about bread service, which was only offered after dietary restrictions were checked (as the spread was pork-based). Once given the all-clear, a cake and lard were brought to our table. When one guest requested a dark beer and some plain bread or bread sticks due to low blood sugar, they were informed that Luca does not serve bread or dark beer. Our server later returned to take our order, mentioning that she may be deaf or simply couldn't hear us. Unfortunately, the music was not lowered despite this, making communication difficult. After a 10-minute wait, our appetizers arrived, including a salumi platter that featured a generous amount of bread. While tasty, the experience would have been improved if there had been better communication between us and the waitstaff. The main dishes were brought out simultaneously and were generally good, though lacking a focus on local ingredients. The presentation of the starters and pizzas was impressive, while the pastas were average and one dish (corn ravioli) was unappetizing. Despite receiving high praise, we learned to be cautious of staff recommendations at Luca, as they have seemingly changed from previous visits. My husband and I plan to return in hopes of experiencing the greatness we remember, but it appears that Luca may have lost its touch.
Wonderful food prepared with excellence! Service was great and our waitress had good ideas on wine pairing. Love the fact they add in the tip… just pay the bottom line.
