Reviews - Celestial Bakery
Reviews summary
Tucked into the neighborhood, this small Vietnamese–Chinese bakery excels at fresh-baked and steamed buns—standouts include sesame balls (mung bean), BBQ pork buns, flaky egg custard, coconut rolls and affordable roasted ducks for family dinners. Friendly, efficient staff and consistent, nostalgic flavors make it a local favorite, though tray-fresh baking can mean short waits. Displays often lack prices and language barriers sometimes complicate orders, so ask before you buy and plan to reheat items at home for best results.

What Lempi Daniel dislikes about Celestial Bakery:
A small Vietnamese bakery shop selling various types of baked and steamed rolls. There is no price tag on the display elements so you don't know how much it really costs! Buy 4 bungalows for $10 without reception! It is too expensive for only 4 bungalows! I don't understand, Vietnamese and I wonder that the employee has overloaded me!!! Make sure you ask the price of each item before you make any purchases, especiall... View all feedback.

Amazing bakery! The custard bun was one of the best I’ve ever had! The coconut cream bun was delicious and the sesame balls with mung bean were next level
This place is phenomenal. It’s almost criminal how good it is, especially when you consider that you can get eight items for less than $16. If you’re on a diet I highly recommend going somewhere else because you will gain weight, that’s how good this stuff is. The only downside is that sometimes you have to wait for a little bit for the baked pork buns because they are baked fresh one tray at a time. It’s an absolute must if you like baked goods, just make sure you don’t go when I’m trying to go, because I want some as well.
I’ve been coming here for years. This is the best Chinese bakery. Some of the best baked bbq pork buns I’be ever had. I don’t know what the fried ones are called but I call them footballs and they’re excellent! You can also get whole duck here perfect for family dinner and very affordable... recommend to anyone!

If you’re like me marathoned two seasons of Sailor Moon you’re munching to try some pork buns this is the best place I’ve found in Denver! Very authentic cuisine, very friendly to newcomers. There’s no displayed menu, so know what you want prior to going. We had the steamed and the fried pork buns, both were excellent!

This bakery is excellent. The food is always fresh. You have an incredible variety. They are very cheap and always busy. I bought from there at least once a month and was never disappointed by any food.
I made my whole life here! It is so comforting to have something from my childhood to adulthood that is still amazing. I love her bbq pig dogs and peanut candies.
Sesame balls with Mung bean filling are amazing. So crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. I also love their coconut butter cream rolls. Put them in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds to make them super soft and tasty. BBQ pork chops are also good.

Make sure you ask the price of each item before you make any purchases, especially you do not speak their language! The baked rolls are fine, but not as good as the other reviews said. The fillings are very sweet, except the BBQ pork bunny.
Went there for 2 things. Egg custard and sesame balls. The egg custard crust was very flaky, which was good. But the custard was probably the smallest I've seen. It's about half of the size of the ones in NYC, Calif or my hometown of Texas. The sesame ball, I thought it had the filling of red beans, but due to language barrier with the owner, I couldn't understand her well. Anyway, it's not red beans, but it's the other filling of yellow in color. I think it's the mung bean?I heated both in the toaster oven to refresh the taste and texture. They tasted fine, but not quite up to my expectation.
