Bara Sushi - Denver
Bara Sushi
Description
Casa Bonita is a kitschy, theatrical Mexican-themed restaurant in Denver renowned for its cliff divers, waterfall shows and immersive village-like décor. More attraction than fine dining, it’s treasured for family celebrations, live performers, themed spaces like Black Bart’s hideout, and huge seating that accommodates large groups. With deep nostalgia and ties to South Park, it now offers tours and plans for modernization while preserving historic charm — an eccentric, joy-filled destination where spectacle eclipses the menu.
Feedback
Casa Bonita is famous for its appearance on South Park and the cliff divers that perform inside the restaurant. It was fascinating to learn about its history, and watching the divers was quite a spectacle. Walking through Black Bart’s hideout was also a really neat experience!
I have never been to a Mexican restaurant like this before! It's like stepping into a Mexican village! It’s one of my best memories from Denver. The waterfall show was amazing! This restaurant has such a unique style, and the decor really makes me forget about being hungry. I recommend this place to everyone who is in or visiting Denver!
I've been visiting Casa Bonita since I was 9 years old, and I love the amazing divers and the fun atmosphere. The food is okay, but what really matters is that the kids have a great time. I urge everyone to sign the petition to save this place—so many beloved spots are being shut down or demolished. I recently went to check on Casa Bonita and took a picture of the fountain water. I also heard from a little bird that the creators of South Park are planning to buy Casa Bonita! They are offering tours now if you're interested—not related to South Park. A big thank you to the South Park guys—it's confirmed they're going to purchase it!
Currently closed for food but they are doing free tours all day in the hour. The tour was fun! The actors and divers give the tour. Saw them cliff dive and learned how much thought was out into the design of the resturaunt.
Still my fave! Been there more times than I can count! Nestled into a strip mall off Colfax in Denver, you would never know what magic lies beyond that pink exterior. Super great venue for celebrations, events and family gatherings. And it has a huge amount of seating! Soon to be modernized, and foodie ized, this again will be the go to for interactive dining goers statewide. I hope to be first in line when they reopen later in 2022. ;
