What User doesn't like about Indonesio Holandes 43:
Have been to Spain for many years and this area for 20, first went to this restaurant 10 years ago and was a nice experience. 10 years on and this has to be my worst experience of a restaurant. Terrible atmosphere, dreadful service and shocking food. Worst of all expensive for inedible microwaved food that was tasteless, avoid at all costs, as so much better in the region. The restaurant is beautiful, especially that wonderful interior terrace. the food and the gift too big. We'll be back, thanks!
It's a second house for us since we've spent the whole family for over 40 years. I started going from a very small place, because we used to be in denia and we were going every summer. it became a family appointment that we could not lose: “the dinner inside is tradition”, and it remains today, 40 years later, with nephews and grandchildren incorporated in the event. the rijsttaffel menu is complete and delicious, from the first dish to the last: homemade peanut cream, the more or less spicy sauces mixed with that rice always at its point, the baked banana. every time I go to these flavors, and it seems amazing that 40 years later I keep keeping all the flavor and charm that captivated me from the first day. and it is that the owners, pepa and pere, have maintained that essence after so many years, with much love and dedication, having collected the testimony of the Dutch who opened the place. to highlight here that the food is not Dutch, it is only the name of the restaurant in honor of its founders. the word rijsttaffel comes from the Dutch, and it is a meal of Indonesian origin. the set of dishes is very popular in the Dutch colonies and is an adaptation of dinner in the Indonesian cuisine, and popular in the low countries. my boyfriend and I come every time we have occasion, while we live outside, and either in spring, in summer or in autumn, the place is wonderful: cozy living room with fireplace (and a lot of history in such walls and shelves) in the cold months, and beautiful landscaped courtyard in the heat months. Thank you for so many nights of enjoyment, and the rest!
